About this blog
This blog will hopefully be one day be a useful tool for marketing my series but until then it’s (along with my husband) my accountability partner. Like a million other writers out there, I’ve been working on a book for years (and yes, there are several half-produced darlings before it) but find every excuse not to finish.
And I’m so dang tired of the excuses especially since I find myself in unique circumstances that allow me so much time to write.
This past year I had the perfect excuses – I was dating (which required traveling across states and sometimes country lines), getting engaged, planning a wedding, quitting my job in insurance, and moving from the countryside of Texas to the suburbs of Toronto, Canada.
But now I’m married, jobless, and in Canada more or less waiting on the government to allow me to work.
I have all the time I could ever want to write now and actually fulfill my dreams of being an author -whether that’s through a big publishing house, Indie, self-publish etc.
So, if you happen upon this blog -that’s great! Feel free to harass me about word count or how much writing I’ve accomplished today.
About Me

Some of my earliest memories are of writing stories at my Oma’s (grandma in German) dining table. Reading those stories out loud to classmates when I was in the second grade -and loving it (which still surprises me since I was an extremely shy introverted child).
The Little Princess is the first book that touched me so deeply that even at 10 years old I knew I was meant to tell stories too. In tenth grade I wrote a story that caused my English teacher to cry and tell me that I should write a book one day. I promised her that when I did, I’d dedicate my first book to her.
Having to write about myself is what I would consider one of the worst writing prompts ever so I’ll finish this with saying that on paper I’m a pretty typical millennial; I drink coffee, prefer records over CDs/YouTube/Spotify etc., love to travel (I did live abroad for 3 years), and can’t afford a house (especially in Toronto, the sticker shock here is real).
Anyway, this is all the writing about myself I could handle. Maybe one day I’ll give it an update…hopefully with the coveted ‘New York Times-bestselling author’ title next to my name! haha
Happy writing everyone!
